This is what goes on during a drum making day.

9:00 - start with smudging then prayers and blessings
9:30 - how to make the drum ring and the mallet
10:00 - how to cut the hide to fit the drum ring
10:15 - cutting the hide
11:00 - instruction on how to cut the hide to make your lace
11:30 - extra time to ensure all the above are ready to be assembled
Noon - break for lunch (not provided)
12:45 - prayer of thanks and blessing
13:00 - technique on how to bring together the ring with the hide
14:30 - technique on how to assemble the mallet
16:00 - Final prayer and blessing

The cost is $200.00 Canadian plus GST.

What you need to bring to class is a sharp scissor. The scissor is required to make the drum and mallet.

These are the items that will be provided: Hide (Deer or Elk), mallet, drum ring and instruction/maintenance booklet.
